Racheal Werner

Corporate Controller

I really enjoy interpreting numbers, solving problems and taking on challenges which makes me a good fit for the Corporate Controller position at Farm Fresh Direct. A San Luis Valley native, I come from several generations of farmers and ranchers who helped shape my love for the agricultural industry. After a few years working at the Colorado Potato Administrative Committee and then working for FFD, I went back to Adams State University and earned my Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.

WHAT WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS BESIDE WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING?

Being a mother is my other full-time job! Parenthood is hard! But it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced.

WEIRDEST JOB YOU EVER HAD THAT PAID YOU?

A dog groomer as a college kid. Growing up, my family raised show dogs so I learned how to groom and run clippers pretty early on. It was good money for a college student but also pretty labor intensive. I basically ran my own business which was very applicable to what I do today.

GO-TO-BEVERAGE OFF HOURS?

You can never go wrong with an ice-cold Corona. But I also like tequilla, so a good margarita or palmoma would be a favorite too.
